Welcome to Miami Dade College's Community Partnership Program!

At Miami Dade College (MDC), we believe in the power of community involvement to equip, empower, and engage students to be agents of positive change. Partnerships with outstanding local nonprofit and government organizations that offer volunteer, community engagement, and internship opportunities for our students are essential to the growth and development of our students.

How to Get Started

  1. Review our “Service Partner Parameters” and our “Standards of Service.”
  2. Complete our Community Partner Interest Form: Click here to complete a brief interest form to tell us more about your organization and opportunities for collaboration.
  3. Connect with us: Once we receive your interest form, a member from the Institute for Civic Engagement & Democracy (iCED) will reach out to schedule a meeting to discuss potential partnership opportunities.
  4. Get to know your iCED team at your nearest campus(es). Start connecting with the iCED staff and let them know about the opportunities available at your organization.

    5. After Meeting with iCED and Agreeing to Move Forward:

  5. Create your Changemaker Hub profile. MDC uses the Changemaker Hub (GivePulse*) platform to help our students interact with 100+ community partners and document their engagement activities. Once approved, iCED will help you create a vibrant profile highlighting your opportunities. Click here for instructions on how to create a profile on the Changemaker Hub/GivePulse.
*GivePulse is a web-based platform designed to support community engagement and social impact. At MDC we call GivePulse “the Changemaker Hub” - GivePulse is also used by FIU and Barry University to support their civic engagement activities which makes it easier to partner with them as well.
