Admission Requirements

• Education Prerequisites – 12 credits (3 credits each):
  • EDF1005 Introduction to the Teaching Profession
  • EDF2144 Empowering all Learners
  • EME2040 Introduction to Educational Technology
  • EEX2000 Introduction to Special Education
• Florida Department of Education Prerequisites:
  • Communications – 6 credits
  • Oral Communications – 3 credits
  • Humanities – 6 credits
  • Behavioral/Social Sciences – 6 credits (DEP2000 recommended)
  • Natural Sciences – 6 credits
  • Mathematics – 6 credits
  • Elective – 15 credits
  • 9 credits of Diversity
  • Foreign Language requirement
  • Completion of CGS1060 or an equivalent computer competency
  • Fingerprinting requirement (Level II clearance)
• Admission to the Baccalaureate Program:
  • 60 credits
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • All Education Prerequisites passed with a minimum grade of “C”
