The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) + the Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) is a unique collaboration between MDC SOE and Achieve Miami TAP, two organizations dedicated to improving educational outcomes and supporting teachers. Through a combination of advanced coursework, specialized workshops, and mentorship, participants will engage in a rigorous professional development journey. This program focuses on equipping teachers with the latest pedagogical strategies, classroom technologies, and leadership skills necessary to excel in diverse educational environments.
MDC and the nonprofit Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) united to address the teacher shortage in South Florida. The MOU signing ceremony was a milestone in providing a unique pathway into teaching.
Our students on track to graduate or individuals with a college degree will be able to enroll in a six-week paid summer internship and earn their teaching certificate upon completion and begin their career at Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
